This year the 6th annual Softball Challenge USA, an SPP Sports star-studded celebrity game, will kick-off the excitement taking place during MLB all-star week, Friday, July 11. The Game this year takes place from 7:00 to 9:30pm at KeySpan Park, in Brooklyn, New York. This year's event will raise money for the NYPD and the FDNY charitable foundations. SPP Sports will also be coordinating with various corporations to secure VIP tickets for the local children's hospitals.

Fans will enjoy a star-studded celebrity game, and for those not able to enjoy the game in person - a 30-minute TV special will air on Sports Net New York. Dates of the telecast will be: Wednesday, July 16th , 7:00 p.m., Saturday, July 19th, 6:00 p.m., and Sunday, July 20th, 12:30 p.m.

Softball Challenge 2008 will kick-off with a Home Run Hitting Contest for Kids, followed by the game. Featured entertainment will include; the New York Knicks and Nets hip hop dancers; our celebrity musical guest "Jazz"; as well as our Lucky Ticket Contests featured throughout the Game, offering tickets to an exclusive private autograph session with all the players immediately following the game as prizes. Fun for everyone in guaranteed.

The 'It's Kids Time Mall Tour', the #1 Kids Mall Tour will also make a stop at the Game this year. Those attending will enjoy interactive zones, games, special attractions and special features from Hasbro with Nerf and iDog.
