Celebrity Slam Jam presents BOWL WITH THE STARS

This year, the 6th Annual Celebrity Slam Jam held 'Bowl With the Stars' -- a bowl-a-thon that featured some of your favorite pro basketball and football stars.

BOWL WITH THE STARS was held Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Rock-n-Bowl in Downtown New Orleans.

This event supported two very worthy organizations; The Tyrus Thomas Foundation, which is aiding in the rebuilding of learning centers for underprivileged children in Baton Rouge. As well as the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater New Orleans which is working towards re-establish basketball leagues and sports programs for the youth of New Orleans.

Former NBA star Darryl Dawkins hosted the party with Chicago Bulls players Tyrus Thomas and Chris Duhon, as well as Hornets players Tyson Chandler. Other players in attendance included: Hornets players Melvin Ely, Temeka Johnson of the LA Sparks, Derek Fisher of the LA Lakers, Amare Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns, and Reggie Evans of the 76ers. Our NFL host players include from the Chiefs; Derrick Johnson and Eddie Drummond, who were joined by fellow teammate Dwayne Bowe, and Martin Nance of the Minnesota Vikings.

We were also pleased to welcome a very special guest, from the Superbowl Champion New York Giants, Corey Webster – who joined our NFL hosts and players at this year’s event.

The event also featured; autograph sessions, basketball trivia games, Q&A sessions, and Midways Games newest interactive video game "Ballers".
